Essential Good was organized as a nonprofit corporation under Delaware law on 9.28.21 and intends to operate as a private foundation in compliance with the requirements of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, related provisions of the Treasury Regulations and other applicable guidance. An application recognizing Essential Good’s tax-exempt status has been submitted to the Internal Revenue Service and is currently pending. While donations to Essential Good are not currently deductible for federal income tax purposes, with Essential Good’s application for tax exemption granted by the IRS, tax exempt status is retroactive, meaning that any donations after 9.28.21 would be tax deductible. Essential Good cannot guarantee that tax exemption will be granted by the IRS.
